MMMMM----- Meal-Master Recipe Title: Sourdough Biscuits -Bran Categories: Sourdough Yield: 4 1 c Starter (Room temp) 3 tb Cooking oil 1 ts Granulated yeast 1/2 c Whole bran cereal 1/2 c Lukewarm water 1 ts Salt 2 tb Brown sugar (firmly Packed) 2 1/4 c Flour 1 lg Egg, beaten Put starter in large bowl. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. add to starter with brown sugar, egg, oil and bran cereal. Mix well. Sift together salt and flour. Add enough (1/2 cup at a time) to starter to make it easy to handle. Cover and raise until double. Punch down. Grease hands and form into 1 1/2 inch balls. Place in greased cake pan. Cover and raise 45 minutes. Bake at 375 F for 20 to 25 minutes. From: Harvey Bennett
