      Title: Old-Fashioned Corn Cakes
 Categories: Quickbreads
      Yield: 4 Servings
 
      2    Eggs
      2 c  Buttermilk
  1 1/2 ts Baking soda
      2 c  Yellow cornmeal
      1 ts Salt
 
  Beat the eggs well, stir in buttermilk, add the corn meal slowly to
  make a thick batter; mix the soda and salt with a tablespoon of cold
  water and add to batter. Make on a hot griddle, turning once, cooking
  thoroughly, serve immediately.
