Place next 4 ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour over sugar and flour mixture and stir. Add eggs, vanilla, buttermilk and soda. Mix well and pour into an ungreased 11 x 18 pan or 2 smaller pans. Bake about 20 minutes at 400. Start cooking frosting 5 minutes before cake is done. Bring marg, cocoa and milk to a boil. Remove from heat and add sugar, nuts and vanilla. Pour over hot cake you have just removed from oven. When cake is cool, cut in squares. Freezes well.
