       3/4 cup          Water -- 70-80 degrees F
         1              Egg
       1/4 cup          Butter or margarine
                        Softened
       1/4 cup          Sugar
       1/2 tsp          Salt
         3 cup          Bread flour
         1 tsp          Anise seed
         2 tsp          Bread machine yeast
       1/2 cup          Almonds -- chopped

[Preparation]
Place first eight ingredients in bread machine pan in order
suggested by manufacturer. Select bread setting. Choose light
crust color and loaf size. Add almonds at fruit/nut signal.

Do not use delay timer.
